Sportgroßveranstaltungen

Sports events must be financially viable for their organizers as well as their sponsors, investors and the municipality. At the same time, these events must remain affordable for the spectators and the public. Only when both criteria are met will an event be and remain attractive for its internal staff and external stakeholders (e.g. service providers).

Civic involvement and collaboration with regional service providers and organizations, and with political and local players, increase acceptance and lay the foundation for the joint planning of a sustainable event. A comprehensive sustainability concept which is widely communicated also sets the tone for the long-term development at the venue and in the region.

Sustainability will only ever be as convincing as the people working towards it. The permanent mooring of sustainable development activities raises the awareness of all involved parties: for the responsible treatment of nature and the landscape, of resources and energy, for environmental and climate protection, social justice and economically viable development.
